About This Project

Tokyo Rose: Zero Hour is the latest graphic novel from writer Andre Frattino and illustrator Kate Kasenow. Tokyo Rose: Zero Hour is a graphic novel based on the true story of Iva Toguri, a Japanese American from Los Angeles who visited distant relatives in Tokyo shortly before the attack on Pearl Harbor. Toguri finds her country not only at odds with Japan, but with her family and herself.  Starland Media help Frattino and Kasenow  write, produce, shoot, and edit this video for their crowdfunding campaign. We also helped with casting voice over artists and sourcing additional world war two era footage. Tokyo Rose: Zero Hour raised approximately $8,000 during their initial crowdfunding run and now this novel can be found on the shelves of your local comic shop!
